A Bit About Me
Growing up my siblings played sports and mentioned here and there why they were choosing to avoid certain foods or really focus in on others. I was more of the musical child, so sports consisted of a one-year 6th grade basketball career for me. However, I did love to move and be active. Unfortunately, as a grew into my teen years this love for movement turned into an obsession to be thin. Along with overexercising, I restricted my calories to an amount no teen girl can thrive on, let alone one who is working out two plus hours per day.
As a result of my unhealthy nutrition and lifestyle habits, my period disappeared. I started to panic. I didn't know much about nutrition at this point in my life, but I knew enough to know NO MENSTRUAL CYCLE = NO KIDS SOMEDDAY. For a girl who loved playing with baby dolls well into my teens (I know, I know), and dreamed of being a mom someday, I knew something had to change!

The problem was...I knew nothing about how to fuel my hormones. This sent me on a deep dive into nutrition. I had always heard "eat your broccoli" but WHY?! What's so good about broccoli anyway!?
I started a journal writing down the names of all different fruits and vegetables and how they function in the body and what they have to offer on a cellular level. I began a plant-based diet, which I kept up for about four years. I learned so much about whole foods and how they can heal the body.
During those four years I saw little improvement to my menstrual cycle. I knew I needed more help. Through working with a of a Holistic Nutritionist I took a DUTCH test, which is a comprehensive hormone panel. This test revealed that my hormones were in the menopausal ranges! Ummm not good!! I utilized every recommendation my Holistic Nutritionist gave me which ranged from foods to include back into my diet, a supplement protocol, and lifestyle factors. Are you ready?... Within one month my cycle came back and I've never missed a period since!

That was it! I was hooked and committed to helping others overcome their own health struggles using food as medicine! I went to nutrition school and studied countless books, programs, bootcamps, webinars, became a professional member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals (NANP), and started my own company to help others. I will never be done learning and that is one of the reasons I love this profession. However, when I can take what I have learned and help someone who was like me, knowing they need a change but not sure how to do it, and guide them into living their wholest life...that is a dream come true. No matter your health history, current struggle, goal or future desires...the Generations moto is "Love people to health. Love people to wholeness. Love people because they are worthy of being loved."
